Spent a day recently together with a friend where we first went out having fun with our camera equipment at
Randers Regnskov and then BBQ and drinking beers. Here are the beers:
Refsvindinge Prima Landøl: A nice little beer to start out with.
Ballast Point Dorado Double IPA: Explodes in your mouth, I like!
Unibroue Don de Dieu: Very nice!
Unibroue Chambly Noire: Not bad, but we liked the Unibroue Don de Dieu more.
Grauballe Bryghus Orange Blossom: Certainly drinkable :)
Grauballe Enebær Stout: Very nice stout!
We had a little taste competition. What you see above is two bottles of Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast. On the left is a 2007 edition and on the right a 2008 edition. Ready for tasting:
Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast 2007 edition.
Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast 2008 edition.
We enjoyed both (not really a surprise there), but we slightly preferred 2007 edition.
Mikkeller It's Alive: Mikkeller just continues to impress.
Westvleteren 12: Oh my! I've had this beer several times and it continues to be one of the best (if not the best) beers I've ever tasted and I think it'll stay right at the top of my list.
Captain Cooker Manuka Beer: I wasn't too impressed by this beer, but it was one of the last beers we had and that probably had an influence.
Mikkeller Black: A crazy imperial stout, but we like craziness :-D I've read on ratebeer.com that it will peak 1-3 years from bottling date. Fortunately I have stashed a few bottles away :-)
